这个周末

这个周末， 我的父母来这里。他们待在"Sandman"酒店。星期无晚上我们去一个戏剧。 这个对不对？ 星期六我们一起去一个饭店吃晚饭，因为十月是我妈妈的生日， 但是我们还没吃她的生日晚饭。那个饭店太贵了， 但是很好吃。今天下午， 他们坐飞机回家。我和我的弟弟十二月二十三号在见他们， 因为我们坐飞机去"Kelowna"庆祝圣诞节。

Heisig Update

Yesterday I finished the sample set of pages from book 1 of Heisig. This included 108 characters, bringing my new "total" known characters to the 200-250 range. While it's a good start, there's still a lot to learn before I can really read anything.

Once I fix my laptop I'll be able to use Anki (flash cards) to review the characters and ensure that I have good recall. Now I need to get book 1 to keep going. Hopefully that isn't too far away :)
