Quick update for the past week. I was a bit more consistent in that I had less days with 0 characters, and improved on the overall total from last week but I'm still a bit behind where I'd like to be. Here are the #'s:
Sunday - 10
Monday - 10
Tuesday - 7
Wednesday - 0
Thursday - 6
Friday - 2
Saturday - 0
Hopefully I can pick up the pace after the Olympics clear out!

Week #3 Update
Well, the Olympics are here, which I'm very excited about. Unfortunately for my studying, it's making it a little bit more challenging to fit in the characters I want to learn. I'd still consider this a pretty successful week though. Here are the #'s:
Sunday - 10
Monday - 10
Tuesday - 0
Wednesday - 11
Thursday - 10
Friday/Saturday - 0
Total: 41 characters. Less than the previous two weeks, but I did notice that doing 10 a day is much more maintainable. I've already done my 10 for today, so, off to a good start to the week!

Week #2 Update
Another week down. Here are the daily character numbers:
Sunday - 7
Monday - 16
Tuesday - 18
Wednesday - 17
Thursday - 3
Friday - 13
Saturday - 0
This week I averaged just over 10 a day. As you can see, some days I do quite a few characters (16-18) and others, basically nothing (0-3).
After 2 weeks of study, I've come to the conclusion that 16 a day is too much to do for me at the moment. I'm going to reduce my goal to 10 a day, since I've averaged that anyways. I expect that with 10 a day I will be more consistent. It'll be much easier to make up missed characters on the next day.
This will put my goal of completing book 1 out by a couple of months. That's OK. It's more about the journey and I think I'd rather focus on doing each day well than jamming on some and taking others off.
As said on AJATT, it's about doing small things, all the time.
